On Sept. 17, 1787, 39 men met in Philadelphia to sign the U.S. Constitution; in memory of that event, members of Jerry Reed's advanced placement class trooped to the Alamosa Court House Wednesday morning so students who would reached 18 before the next election could register to vote.
